Meme & Carlos Engagement | Videography

So, for quite some time we have been practicing and planning, planning and practicing.  For a little over a year, we've been training to add a completely new component to our photography: videos.

At first it seemed a bit crazy. And trust me when I say, videography is soooooooo different from photography. Like worlds of difference. Yet so alike.  It's hard to explain.  All I can say is that it's been an amazing adventure and learning has been so fun.  My wonderful fiance took on the job of learning, and I am so proud of what he's done so far.

Here is one of our very first videos.  I still haven't decided if I'm going to officially add it as an option, but things are looking promising.

...and it's time to return!

I'm really thankful having been able to take a much needed break from shooting and blogging (although I have much to improve on the latter!).  There were things that I had to give 100% of my focus to, and I can proudly say I'm all done and ready to take on shooting full force.

I have so many changes coming, and I'm so excited for everything to start to unfold!  I leave you with a few images that I've been working on these past couple months.  They're all so beautiful and I'm so lucky to be able to share these moments with my amazing clients!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

There are so many beautiful shoots, sitting in my computer, waiting to be blogged.  Here is one shot that really caught my attention today. So GORGEOUS! :)

Denisse & Juan | Engagement Session | Wilmington & San Pedro, CA

After a long day of work, chores, errands and all the other necessary things, its photos like these that remind me why I love photography so much.  Photos like this take me back to when I shot just for fun, no clients, no paperwork, no website, no nothing!!! They remind me of why I fell in love with capturing other people's love through my eyes.  Of how amazing it is to take a moment in time and freeze it into a memory that will be forever held in someone's heart.

This day was absolutely perfect.  The light was amazing, the weather was lovely, the couple was up for anything! But most importantly, there was genuine love between them two and it was so much fun to capture.

It's needless to mention how very much in love Denisse and Juan are.  It's undeniable!  These photos were part of a project I did this summer where we tested our first video sessions.  The videos aren't quite ready yet, but here are these lovely photos to enjoy meanwhile.

 

Ochie | Maternity | Wilmington, CA

I have to admit that shooting maternity sessions is amongst my favorites... There is something so special about this time in a family's life, and I love when I am given the opportunity to capture these moments.

Ochie had me capture these photos at what I believe is the perfect time... Still small enough to be comfortable and at ease, yet the belly is still a nice, "photo-ready" size! :)
